Open-Air Cinema on the Murinsel: Summer Movies 2026 13 July – 9 September 2026Start times: July: 8.45 pm | August & September: 7.45 pm A selection of cinematic treasures from 100 years of film history will be screened, chosen and curated by the Film Center at Rechbauerkino. Monday is “Teen Screen” Day: The Children’s and Youth City of Graz presents a special film program for young people in Graz. Admission is free! Open seating! Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the event starts. We recommend arriving one hour in advance, as only a limited number of visitors are allowed on the Murinsel at the same time. Exception: Due to logistical reasons, reservations by email (filmzentrum@filmzentrum.com) are required for the film parties on 29 July and 12 August (subject line: “Mamma Mia” or “Rocky Horror Picture Show”). A maximum of 4 seats can be reserved per booking, subject to availability. Any remaining tickets will be distributed on the Murinsel on the day of the respective event. In good weather, screenings take place outdoors in the amphitheater; in case of bad weather, the films will be shown in the café.
