In her novel “Orlando”, she gave the title character the freedom to change gender overnight and live through a period of 300 years, beginning in Shakespeare’s lifetime. We accompany Virginia’s and Orlando’s journeys and life stories through the changing times, with music that all three personalities mentioned here – Shakespeare, Woolf and Orlando – might have heard.
