The Reader

The story that captivated millions of readers around the world and was famously adapted for the screen, starring Oscar-winning Kate Winslet, is coming to the stage in an uncompromising, emotionally charged adaptation. The production tells the story of a fateful and forbidden love between an adolescent boy and a mysterious older woman. Their relationship, filled with burning desire and the intimate ritual of reading aloud, suddenly ends without explanation. The real shock, however, comes several years later. When the two protagonists meet again in a courtroom, a chilling truth about war crimes is revealed, bringing love and morality into direct conflict with evil. The story raises a profound question: Can someone forgive a person they love after discovering what they have done? In the Large Hall, these unique features transform every performance into an intense live show.
